Stewart Tackles Arizona Immigration Law via McCain

Our best of  The Daily show this week went to their Thursday night segment when Jon Stewart opened the show riffing on everyone’s favorite immigration law, and mocking John McCain and Fox News in the process.

Check out the clip and judge it for yourself. It is typical of McCain speaks on both sides of his mouth, he will do whatever it takes to win including selling his soul. His classic move was when he cynically picked Sarah Palin as his running mate, thinking he would garner women voters. That didn’t work too well. Well, it worked for her in the end.

Anyway, in my opinion, we should stop blaming the illegal immigrants or any other group that takes American jobs away or changes the cultural landscapes of this great country. Read more of this post

Great Progress with Mobile DTV Testing in Washington, D.C.

Here is the latest update on Mobile DTV in Washington, D.C. I started covering back in April. The test underway has been going well, signaling that a more widespread launch of the technology is not too far off. The Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC) started the test in May with 23 channels, and so far has received about 2,800 comments on the service.

Included in the test are the major local broadcast networks, several radio station rebroadcasts, and some retransmissions of secondary and tertiary over-the-air digital channels. OMVC is also testing out premium content, and has included several cable stations including Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC, MTV, and E!, among others.

About 200 testers were outfitted with a specially-modified Samsung Moment and asked to provide feedback on the service. So far about 150 have done so, and the feedback has generally been positive. Read more of this post

Jon Stewart’s Best Retardlican Moment This Week

by
Kamran Abdi
I watched some documentaries last week on Germany leading into the WWII…amazing parallels between what happened to create that mass delusion that gave rise to Hitler, and the same delusion the Teabagging knucles that Jon Stewart having a blast with in this clip. The same hatred and scapegoating of the “other”, the obsession with race and their imagined superiority. The same need to recapture the glory of the Reich, or “I want my America back”.

Stewart Vs Fox Over Final Push For Healthcare Reform

by Elias Shams
The best ofĀ  Jon Stewart for this week was hisĀ  Thursday night program when he took on Fox News‘ reporting on the March 9 health care reform protests outside the Ritz Carlton in Washington, D.C. He calls out a Fox News host’s commentary and stops to think: “Fox News might be the meanest sorority in the world.”

Stewart pointed out that Fox News depicted the peaceful protests as a Tehran-esque mob, getting ready to storm the gates of the Ritz Carlton to get their point across. But upon further inspection of the blurry footage, he found members of this group included a women in a wheelchair. read moreā€¦

The Best Of Jon Stewart This Week

by Elias Shams
His best for this week wasnā€™t actually from his show, but from his Big Poppa Bear rival, Bill O’Reilly during his visit to Fox. It was indeed the big showdown, the media equivalent of Ali vs. Frazier. At one point, O’Reilly reached out with one of his long arms, pointing a finger at his adversary, Stewart recoiled, practically curling up in a ball, saying “God, you’ve got Ali’s reach!”

Jon riped Bill literally over every issue.  My favorite part was when Jon gave few examples of socialism and comparing foxā€™s comment about President Obama and Bush during the War time. Overall, I think Jon totally nailed the entire fox over their hypocrisy. Read moreā€¦

The Best Of Jon Stewart And Bill Maher This Week

Jon Stewart had such an awesome fun with Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, and so DID we šŸ™‚ In this clip from The Daily Show, Stewart mocked Beck for his journal entries on Palin, and compared the two to ‘The Silence of the Lambs. I found it hilarious to see Glenn Beck did the interview in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, a gift from Socialist France šŸ™‚ , a country in “old Europe”. šŸ™‚

You wonā€™t miss how Sarah Palin was totally creeped out by Beck’s slavish lackyness! I got the feeling Palin didn’t really know who he was outside of the name recognition, and spent most of the hour staring at Beck’s fresh hair. Palin also looking like she smells something really, really bad.

Those of you still blaming the Left for Palin’s ineptitude, you got to check out this clip of Palin unable to name her favorite Founding Father? Even the conservatives expressing doubts about her. Here is another source from Christian Science Monitor.

Here is a classic proof of her stupidity. Could a person be more inept than this on national television? This incredibly stupid moment was not unlike the so-called gotcha moment with Couric when Palin couldn’t name what she reads. Only this gotcha moment came from a so-called “team” member at Fox News!

Anyway, I think this is awesome News for our country and the world. Palin candidacy as the vice president, he took down McCain, and now her contribution to Fox will shut down Fox for good soon šŸ™‚

And, here is Bill Maher explained why we should move your money out of a ā€œtoo big to failā€ bank and put it into a local community bank or credit union. According to Maher: ā€œThis is not a conservative idea or a liberal idea. Itā€™s not left or right. Itā€™s populism at its best.ā€
